City Council announces the release of the Organization and Compensation Review Report.  The report is intended to provide a high-level assessment of the organization and articulate a broad set of recommendations aligned with Council’s strategic priorities.

CITY ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO LEADERSHIP TEAM


Council for the City of Port Alberni is announcing further changes to its leadership team following the conclusions of the Organization and Compensation Review completed by Judy Rogers Consulting. 

After years of distinguished service to the City of Port Alberni as City Engineer and subsequently as Chief Administrative Officer and City Manager, Ken Watson will be moving to a new role within the City as Major Projects Advisor. 

The City of Port Alberni was pleased to receive the Auditor General for Local Government (AGLG) Performance Audit Report on oversight and management of the Municipal Policing Unit Agreement (MPUA) and police budget oversight.  See the full media release by clicking here.

The City of Port Alberni and BC Transit are happy to provide free rides on conventional transit services for the federal election on Monday, October 19th. The free rides are intended to encourage all eligible residents to vote in the federal election.
