Office of the Chief Administrative Officer

The Chief Administrative Officer is responsible for the overall management and administration of City services and operations.  

The City Manager:

  • Strives to ensure that the policies and direction of the City Council are implemented;
  • Informs and advises Council on the operations and affairs of the City;
  • Leads the City's management and staff;
  • Directly supervises Department Heads.

Goal: To achieve Council's vision for Port Alberni to be the most vibrant, healthy and united community in British Columbia.  This goal is being actively pursued by focusing on identified strategic priorities and implementation of each departments strategic service plan.  Additional information is available in the Strategic Plan and Annual Report.
