The City of Port Alberni is  committed to providing a web site that respects visitors’ privacy. The City’s website logs all site visitors, however no personal information is automatically gathered while you are using our website. We use these logs to analyze trends, administer the site, track visitors' movements and gather broad demographic information for aggregate use.  Log data can not be used to personally identify an individual.  Any personal information provided is voluntary and is collected for the purpose of communicating with you and providing services to you.  We do not disclose information to third parties. Occasionally we have survey and feedback forms which are used for specific research, policy development and community consultation purposes by staff. Any personal information we ask you to provide is collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.
