CITY ANNOUNCES CHANGES TO LEADERSHIP TEAM

Council for the City of Port Alberni is announcing further changes to its leadership team following the conclusions of the Organization and Compensation Review completed by Judy Rogers Consulting. 

After years of distinguished service to the City of Port Alberni as City Engineer and subsequently as Chief Administrative Officer and City Manager, Ken Watson will be moving to a new role within the City as Major Projects Advisor. 

Fire Chief Tim Pley will serve as the Acting City Manager/Fire Chief while a search is conducted to fill the City Manager position on a permanent basis.  The changes announced are effective January 18, 2016.

Council respects that all matters to do with employment within the City are confidential, so Council will release further details of the changes only when appropriate to do so.
