Existing underground services must be recertified prior to new construction if they were installed more than twenty-five years ago, to ensure they are still in usable condition.  

All city services must be decommissioned by the City prior to demolition to ensure the integrity of the mains is maintained.   

In cases where a demolition is occurring prior to a planned rebuild, both Recertification & Decommissioning should be requested at the same time.
