Response Area

Port Alberni, as the name implies, is a seaport for large lumber carrying freighters from many nations. The harbour area is protected by our fireboat, The Motor Vessel Frank Harrison.

Our boundary areas for rescue response in The Regional District are:

• Cameron Lake to the East
• Canoe Creek on the Tofino Highway to the West
• Bamfield to the South
• Lowry Lake to the Northwest
