The 40 year career of Kenn Whiteman has extended from Roland Mitchner Centre in Red Deer in 1966 to Innovations Director of Pinnacle Youth Works Inc., Port Alberni and Salmon Arm in 2006. In between he has worked for the Alberta Provincial Government, Port Alberni Parks and Recreation and a host of Non-for-profit organizations as a volunteer including; The Vancouver Foundation, BC Council for Families, Port Alberni big Brothers and Big Sisters, Family Court Committee, Alberni Clayoquot Continuing Care Society and The Port Alberni Tall Ships Society. As well, he had enough time to complete a Masters Degree in Community Development from the University of Alberta in 1982.

He has been a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator for 20 years at well over 200 conferences and workshops throughout Canada, Western United States and South East Australia. From 1968 to 1978 Kenn worked as a dually trained Psychiatric Nurse and Registered Nurse at a number of hospitals in Alberta.
