Office of the City Manager

The City Manager is the chief administrative officer of the City and is responsible for overall management and administration of City services and operations. The City Manager ensures that the policies and direction of the City Council are implemented and informs and advises Council on the operations and affairs of the City. The City Manager is the leader of the City's management and staff and the direct supervisor of the Department Heads.

The goal of the City Manager’s office is to achieve Council’s vision of Port Alberni being the most vibrant, healthy and united community in British Columbia. This goal is being actively pursued by focusing on identified strategic priorities and implementation of each departments strategic service plan.
